Due 2nd week of May 2017

A Final Border Collie Litter

We have decided to breed one final Border Collie litter.

If the pregnancy has taken, DarnFar Opal will be due to whelp around the second week of May 2017.   She has been bred to DarnFar Fennel. Fennel is an exceptional pup out of DarnFar Switch x DarnFar Moxie.   Many of his siblings are very successful competitors in Agility and Obedience.  He has the most lovely disposition, is a very kind and relaxed dog with excellent conformation.  OFA Excellent at 63 months.  CEA normal by parentage. Opal doesn’t know a stranger.  She is a perfect house dog with natural “off” button, but has a turbo-charge gear that she likes to show off when outdoors.   OFA Good.  CEA carrier.   This breeding cannot produce  CEA affected puppies. Possible colors: Black/White/Tan, Blue merle with tan pionts. Blue eyes are not expected. If you are interested please use the application button below. We will get back to you after review. We will contact all approved applicants when the pregnancy is confirmed in late April. At that time, you may confirm you are still intereseted in a puppy from this litter.   We will send you an email when the litter arrives. We take deposits only after the puppies are here.   We receive deposits based on the receipt date of application. We reserve the right to reject any application for any reason. These puppies are out of herding-working lines and will require excellent early management and proper socialization and training to achieve their best potential.   They will not be well served by a protocol which lacks the setting of clear boundaries.   Border Collies ache to please their owners, and therefore the owner is responsible to establish clear limits through basic consequence-for-action methods so the pup can do as you please.   However, if you raise the puppy right, these pups should be well suited for nearly any working venue including competition herding, obedience, agility, Search & Rescue, scent work, free style dance, therapy dog etc…
