Rough and smooth, black & white expected (chance for tri-color).  These pups should have exceptional bodies (both Moxie and Switch have lovely structure and overall conformation).  Pups should have outgoing temperaments with wonderful herding ability, but mostly I think they will be extraordinarily intelligent and loving.  Moxie is a very fun, engaging, little 32 pound spit-fire.  Switch is an even-keeled, knows-no-strangers, very agreeable boy.

While all Border Collies are not suited for Assistance Dog work, I would consider a male from this breeding to be an excellent candidate based on my experience with the parents and their previous kids.  Truman, Moxie's son from her first litter, is my demo Service Dog and is a brilliant, happy worker that has learned tasks incredibly fast.  Truman has the capacity to extrapolate and create new, helpful behaviors based on previously trained tasks.  He's a joy.  Folks who have kids out of Switch all report favorably about their puppies.

This breeding should produce Rough and Smooth coated; Red & White and Black and White pups with exceptional temperaments and great work ethics.  This is a breeding worth waiting for!

We are considering breeding Boon to Opal this year, pending health screens and timing.  Rough and smooth, black/white, tri-color and blue merle pups are possible.  This mix should create pups with really agreeable dispositions and desire to please, very loving and affectionate, plus good work ethics.
